Stay Local, Boat MA

Newburyport Marinas is among a group of 19 area marinas taking part in an innovative program set up by the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association called "Stay Local, Boat Massachusetts" - offering boaters incentives to stay at participating marinas which helps stimulate local economies

Stay Local Boat MA is a reciprocal program that encourages seasonal guests to visit participating destination marinas in exchange for reduced dockage rates determined by the number of boats traveling together.

Designed to promote the concept of "vacationing at home," the program keeps boating-related tax dollars local while offering much-needed economic relief to the thousands of friends and families enjoying Massachusetts waters on a typical summer day.

The program has quickly ballooned to over a dozen participating facilities located on the North and South Shores, Boston Harbor and Cape Cod. Rules and regulations will vary by location and blackout dates may apply.
